Your Role
As the Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our harvesting robot production line from the ground up. Your role is crucial in streamlining the journey of produce from farm to grocery shelves, directly impacting the agriculture industry and consumer access to fresh food.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and put into action a well-rounded manufacturing approach that supports and aligns with the company’s manufacturing and corporate objectives for the GR-100.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive production plan, including process flow, material handling procedures, and quality control checkpoints. Establish daily, weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to the team
- Oversee day-to-day production of the GR-100 system, ensuring that the product meets quality standards and production deadlines.
- Collaborate with the R&D department to implement new technologies and improve manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the layout and installation of equipment to optimize workflow, maximize output, and ensure efficient use of the manufacturing space.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to strict standards and a focus on continuous improvement
- Develop detailed manufacturing work instructions and acceptance test procedures by leveraging CAD tools to translate engineering designs into clear, concise, and actionable instructions for the manufacturing team.
- Manage production using ERP/ MRP software. This includes entering data related to materials, inventory, and production schedules. Responsible for managing production travelers, which track the progress of individual units through the manufacturing process.
- Assess production data and reports to spot trends and areas needing efficiency, simultaneously measuring and documenting performance metrics (KPIs). Experience using data analysis to prioritize tasks, workflows and order of operations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Source, select, hire and lead a team of qualified technicians and other staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through mentorship and motivation strategies.
- Provide support in executing on-the-floor production activities as required.
Needed Skills & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the field of robotics or automation.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP software
- Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong management and communication skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Experience working with industrial robots is a plus, but not mandatory
- Experience with CAD tools
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Proficient in using manufacturing management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
